I could write total day about how wonderful this inexperienced toshiba digital tuner dvd recorder is but won’t waste your time withy facts most won’t understand exactly saying i have be using 3 panasonic dvd recorders withy built inside analog tuners for over 3 years. I received this unit inside july when it became available also it is great. Look no further if you are looking for a dvd recorder withy a built inside digital tuner. It works flawlessly, is priced quietly from amazon also i have not had one coaster yet or had it not accept a particular brand of blank media even though i recommend sticking withy the superior tayio-yuden dvds made inside japan. The panasonics were total picky about brands of blank dvds also the different formats they put up be purchased inside. I found this unit was pretty easy on set up also next scanning for total available channels on my cable system i was ready on go. The recorded results i come to next recording on any of the digital or high def channels are beautiful. To come to the best picture, i always record on the alternate high def digital channel that is available on total the major networks including 3 pbs channels on my cable system. My one complaint is what another reviewer has mentioned, the horrible tiny, dull grey printing on the dark black remote control! If only they had used bright white paint instead of the dull gray print on the black case owners might have be able on see what command you are pushing. It is almost impossible on read without bright light inside the room. I have learned on remember what button is which from memory but Toshiba DR570 DVD Recorder makes me crazy thinking if they had only used the same white print they placed on the tiny buttons! I am sorry i cannot write more giving details about this recorder but you put up come to that elsewhere. I will exactly tell you this product does what it is supposed on do perfectly also does it very well. I highly recommend this unit also the price has dropped since i bought mine inside july making it even a better deal.
